Bristow het blykbaar Sondagaand hulp probeer ontbied oor ‘n burgerbandradio. Wie op haar hulpkreet gereageer het, is nie bekend nie.

Leiers van die Kongres van Suid-Afrikaanse Vakbonde (Cosatu) eis dat die federasie sy steun vir Jacob Zuma as hul voorkeurkandidaat vir die ANC-presidentskap laat vaar, berig die Sunday Times.

Zuma se kandidatuur is bespreek by ‘n vurige sentrale bestuursvergadering wat by die federasie se Johannesburgse hoofkantoor van 26 tot 28 Februarie gehou is.

Cosatu-leiers wat die vergadering bygewoon het, sê dat die meeste dagbestuurslede hul bedenkinge oor steun vir die korrupsiebeskuldigde uitgespreek het.
