Duitse amptenare het bevestig dat Berlyn chemikalieë na Sirië versend het wat moontlik gebruik kan word om Saringas te maak. Die regering het egter benadruk dat hulle vol vertroue is dat die “tweeledige-gebruik“ chemikalieë nie vir militêre doeleindes aangewend is nie.
Duitsland het meer as 100 ton van die bestanddele wat ook vir die vervaardiging van dodelike gas gebruik kan word, tussen 2002 en 2006 uitgevoer.
“Die permitte [vir die lewering van die chemikalieë] is toegestaan is ná ‘n deeglike ondersoek van alle moontlike risiko’s, insluitend die gevare van misbruik en herleiding met die oog op moontlike gebruik in verband met chemiese wapens,” het Duitsland se Ministerie van Ekonomie gesê in ‘n verklaring in reaksie op ‘n formele versoek van ‘n opposisieparty.
“Ek kan nie glo dat Duitsland ‘n totaal van meer as 111 ton chemikalieë na Sirië versend het wat gebruik kan word om Sarin te produseer nie. En dit in ‘n land wat bekend is daarvoor dat hulle ‘n chemiese wapenprogram het,” het Jan van Aken, ‘n opposisielid, wapendeskundige en voormalige VN-wapeninspekteur, gesê.

Arieann, ik denk dat het verstandig kan zijn als je Nederlands oefent. Mocht het zo slecht gaan worden in SA kan het geen kwaad om andere talen te leren als je moet vluchten uit het land. Ik spreek ook Nederlands en Duits, en probeer Spaans te leren (door zijn grote taalbereik, maar is lastig). Neem liever kennis van Hans zijn taalgebruik, het kan altijd van pas komen.
