DA wil Eskom-wanbetalers in Vrystaat help

  1. OFM and RSG Radio stations erroneously broadcast that
Clarens’s electricity supply would be cut off when Eskom cut Dihlabeng
municipality’s supply. The Chamber of Commerce has spoken to both radio
stations informing them that, although Clarens is part of Dihlabeng, we
    receive our electricity directly from
Eskom. We further confirmed from Melanie
at the Eskom office in Bethlehem that Clarens’s electricity supply will NOT be
cut as all Clarens Businesses and citizens are individual account holders with
Eskom. The radio stations apologised for their error and stated they would not
    broadcast this information again.
