The embassy’s Cultural Attache, Mr Jiang Weiming, announced the decision at a ceremony marking the commencement of an education and cultural collaboration between Nigeria and China.
Weiming said through the collaboration, the embassy would equip and establish Chinese classes and train teachers in the chosen schools.
He also said the understanding of the language would improve the existing relationship between the two countries as well as enhance the appreciation of the Chinese culture by Nigerians.
In a remark at the ceremony, FCTA Education Secretary, Mrs Felicia Olajide, said it was gratifying that both countries were exploring the possibilities of building stronger ties through education and culture.
Olajide said that the potential areas of cooperation transcended culture and education. “Industrial development can also be explored for the benefit of both nations,’’ she said.
