Die Israelse eerste minister, Benjamin Netanyahu se beloftes om die skepping van ‘n Palestynse staat te keer, is ongewild by kiesers in sy land.

Hy het in ‘n laaste poging om steun te werf voor vandag se verkiesing gesê hy sal geen Palestynse staat toelaat indien hy herkies word nie.

Netanyahu het gewaarsku dat enigeen wat ‘n Arabiese tuisland tot stand sou bring, die gevaar loop om ‘n platform vir radikale elemente te skep waarvandaan aanvalle geloods kan word, maar talle kiesers is moeg vir die boodskap.

Netanyahu se grootste teenstander, Isaac Herzog het kiesers aangemoedig om die eerste minister se ses jaar-lange bewind te beëindig.

Herzog en die voormalige minister van justisie, Tzipi Livni se Zionistiese Alliansie het onderneem om die vredesproses met die Palestyne te hervat indien hulle die verkiesing wen.

Volgens peilings kan Herzog en Livni tussen 24 en 26 setels in die parlement wen, teenoor Netanyahu se sowat 23.

    Bibi will m ost likely lose, since the Palestinian problem is one of international law. It all comes back to the confrontation between the Russian Federation and the United States, because if Russia loses, it will be Russia that has to protect its territorrial integrity. But since U.S. will lose Ukraine, or actually it has already lost, it’s just a matter of time and formalities; the framework of international law will change. And within this new framework will be decided the matter of what should be done with such territories and what their legal status will be. The one that rebuilds them will decide their fate and questions of governance. The US will have little say in the matter as immigration is threatening its integrity as a white creedal nation and they face an uprising at home. Bibi has also failed to sell ISIS as a viable enemy in the West.

    Netanyahu is a toxic brand and his neo-conservative friends have harmed the US as well. Iran and Germany actually now agree on a critical assessment of American foreign policy. Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei chastised the United States after a letter signed by 47 Republican neocon senators. The letter guaranteed instant US. abrogation of any P5+1-Iran nuclear pact after Barack Obama left office. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier joined Khamenei in lambasting the neo-con senators over their letter. Steinmeier’s remarks were echoed in Paris by senior French government officials. It’s game over for these thugs.
